Christmas 2008

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. Harper was so excited so it made it that much better. Curt and I are like little kids we could not sleep for days before because we were so excited. A couple nights before Christmas we didn't go to bed until 4 am. We had so much fun. Harp had a cold so he was not feeling the best, but he still got into it.

We always have a party with my mom's side of the family on Christmas Eve. We do it at my sister Kamie's house. We had a nice dinner and then exchanged gifts with each other. Then we stayed and Harper made cookies for Santa with his girl cousins. They all kept eating the cookie dough. Harper could not get it in his mouth fast enough.

After all of that excitement we went home to open our Christmas jammies. Harper looked so cute in his.

As I said Harper wasn't feeling the best so we had a rough night to say the least. He could not stop coughing all night long. So we ended up with an hour and a half of sleep. That didn't stop us from having fun though. We ended up just getting up to see what Santa brought at 5:30 AM. Harper was so excited to see he got his DRUMS!!!!! He was so cute he ran right to them starting counting 1-2-1-2-3-4 then he shouted hit it Moe. If you don't have a toddler than you probably don't know who Moe is. He is off of the "Doodlebops." He plays the drums on the show. He rocked out for a minute than he ran to the window and started shouting "Thanks Santa, Thanks for the drums Santa." Too cute if you ask me. Harp was so excited over the drums that he didn't open another present for almost 2 hours.

We headed up to my dad and moms house at 8:30 AM for Christmas breakfast and to exchange gifts with my family. My mom did an awesome breakfast as always. We had the works, Harp had to help daddy cook the hash browns.

Nanny and Papa gave Harper a GUITAR!!!! He was so excited he knew what it was as soon as he got a tiny bit of paper ripped off. They gave Curt and I 1/2 a beef! We are so excited to not have to buy meat for a long time.

We then went to Honey and Papa Micks house they spoiled Harper. They gave him a scooter, and a cute baseball thing and some more stuff.

We came home and napped Harper then off to Ashley and Jason's for Christmas dinner. The food was delicious. Harp loves playing with Jack and Jett. After that we went back to my parents to play games. It was a long day considering the lack of sleep the night before. We had such a great Christmas. We hope that you did too!

Smile Makeover

I hoped everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was filled with family, food and shopping. I could barely move on Friday night. I shopped for 14 hours on Friday. It was so worth it though, we are completely done shopping except for one person!! I know I am crazy for going out, but it is a tradition that is so much fun. I only got shoved once, so it was not too bad.

The purpose of this post is to let all of you know that my mom will be on "Good Things Utah" tomorrow Tuesday December 2nd. It comes on at 10:00 am on channel 4. She was the winner of a smile makeover. She will be showing everyone her results to please tune in. It has been a fun journey for our family. She looks beautiful, and can not stop smiling. I entered her in the beginning of October, and she is just getting done. So it has been a long process, but well worth it. Please watch to see my hot momma!!!!

Halloween 2008

We had so much fun this year. We were worried that Harper was not going to wear his costume. I have had it since the beginning of September, and he would never let us put it on him. Once he saw us getting ready he decided it was going to be a fun night. I think he was the cutest little gorilla. Plus how could you resist a cowboy like Curt.
We went to our neighborhood tricker treating party first. It was really fun to be able to see all of the little kids dressed up. Not a lot of adults dressed up, but we sure had fun. My sisters Kamie, and Haley came too and brought their kids. Justin if I say so myself stole the show in is sexy get up. We went and visited my Grandma and Grandpa Glazier.
Harp had fun seeing all of his cousins. What a great Holiday where you can go and spend 20 or so dollars on candy and just have fun with family and friends. We went up to see my parents too. After all of that we ended the night at Jason and Ashley's house for the annual Halloween Party. That was fun, and Ash always makes the best chili and scones.

So Inspiring

As most of you bloggers out there I keep up with the recovery of Christian and Stephanie Nielson. I check it quiet frequently, when I need a boost of strength. After reading her sister Courtney's blog today I have been quiet emotional. Coming from a family of all girls I can relate to the bond of sisters. If you have not already read the new inspiring article about Nie Nie you need to check it out. Whether you need something to help give you strength through your obstacles, or to give you more compassion for this amazing family. Please check the article out A sister held even closer.

Blues Clues Birthday Party

We had a "Blues Clues" theme party. Harper loves blues clues, we watch multiple episodes a day. We had my side of the family, and Harper's best friend Bristol and his family come over on Saturday. I ordered cupcakes from the PrimRose spa. They put a paw print on the cupcakes. Harper thought they were pretty cool because they had a clue on them. We had four different flavors chocolate, vanilla, pumpkin, and snicker doodle. They all tasted so lovely.

Harp loved blowing out his candles. Curt had to cover his mouth while we sang him Happy Birthday. Because he was trying to blow the candle out before we were done singing.

He got so many wonderful presents. It has been heaven for him since Saturday. He doesn't know what to play with first. Thanks everyone for being so thoughtful, and for all of the wonderful gifts. Here are some pictures of the gifts he received from everyone.

Curt and I gave him a John Deere Gator. He loves this power wheel, even though he doesn't have down the steering part yet. It is fun to hit the gas and just go!!!

We had a blues clues pinata for the kids. That was really fun, all of the kids really enjoyed it. Also it was a fun way to do a party favor for everyone.

After everyone left from the party. We relaxed for awhile. Then off to Boondocks we went. Teri and Bristol came with Curt, Harper, and I. We had so much fun, that I forgot to take pictures. It was cold outside, so we just ate dinner, played in the kiddie cove, and won lots of tickets. The boys had so much fun, and they loved picking out their prizes.

Sunday we went up to Curt's mom's house for that side of the families party. We ate kiddie food, it was so much fun the kids loved it. Thanks Papa Mick for always cooking such good food. After dinner we did another pinata. Pat gave Harper a Teddy Ruxpin. For all of you 80's kids he is back. He is still cute as ever. Harp loves to sing with him already. Also Ash gave him some cool spikey blocks. Thanks so much everyone it was a fun night.
We had such a fun weekend, but boy am I exhausted. Birthday's are so much fun!!!!!

Harper is 2

Today is Harper's 2nd birthday!!! Time has went by so fast the past two years. On the other hand it seems like he was just born. We can not imagine life with out him. I know I am bias because I am his mom, but I think he is the cutest little boy. His personality is so much fun, he always has us laughing. I love that in the past two years he has turned into such a polite, social, energetic, loving boy. We are having a Blues Clues birthday party today. Blues Clues is what is in at the Daily household. We have to watch a couple episodes a day. I will post pictures later of his party. He is so excited about today, and has been practicing blowing out his candles for months now. Harp is talking so much. I love how he is putting sentences together. His favorite color is Green. He has turned into such a handsome little boy with his blue eyes, and his very blond faux hawk. I just can not express my love for him. I knew being a mother would be fun, but I had no idea that it would be this rewarding. We hope that you have a great birthday Hops!

Go Papa Roach Go

This past weekend my dad aka "Papa Roach" ran the St. George marathon. It rained the whole race, and had head winds up to 20 mph. Considering all of that he still ran it in 4 hours 3 minutes. I could not be prouder of him. It is pretty sad when your 49 year old dad can totally kick your trash. Way to go Papa Roach!!!

I decided to go down with my parents and sisters. We left the hubbies home, with the kiddies. It was a much needed vaycay for us all. We missed you Whit!!! We have not went on a vacation just us, since before Kamie was married 8 years ago. It was so much fun I have not laughed that hard in a long time. Thanks so much everyone for a great weekend. We need to do that more often.

Gallbladder

I have been having pain in my stomach for about a month. It would come and go. Also some days were worse than others. Then starting on September 11th which was a thursday until that saturday I was flat in bed. The pain was so bad that I couldn't even get out of bed. Everyone and Curt kept on trying to have me go to the Dr.'s or to the ER. I was being selfish and didn't want to go. Finally that Saturday night Curt took me to the ER. They ran a bunch of test, and did an ultrasound. Everything came back normal, but hello I was still in major pain. They sent me home with percocet, and told me to return the following morning for more testing. They did a "Hyda Scan" which shows the function of the gallbladder. That test was very painful to say the least. I felt like such a baby laying there for a hour and a half crying. Well sure enough the Radiologist said I have the most none functioning gallbladder he has ever seen! Wahoo not the award you want to win. Yep it works a whole 1.6%. So I came home to take the oh so lovely percocet, until a surgeon could get me in. Dr. Fullmer got me in the quickest. He was such a great Dr. really nice. So I had surgery on last thursday. Poor little Harper has been handed out to everyone. Atleast it has been family and he loves to be with them. It was just a same day surgery. I am feeling better with each passing day. Today is my first day to have Harper here with me, so wish me luck! I can't lift him yet, so that is a little difficult. Atleast he can almost get into the crib by himself.

I just wanted to thank everyone that has helped me so much during this time. Especially my family, for loving Harp. Thanks for all of the wonderful meals, and for stopping by to see if I need anything. It is so nice to live in an area where everyone is so willing to help. Curt thanks for being so patient, and for taking over daddy and mommy roles. You are the best!

Thanks for everything you do for Harper and I. I love that you are willing to work so hard so I can stay home with our son. I am more in love with him now then I was almost 8 years ago when we first started dating. I hope that you have the best day! I can't wait to spend Saturday with you! Curt and I are going to go to Salt Lake and spend the whole day together alone. Which doesn't happen that often anymore. Love Ya Lots babe!

Good 'Ole Utah County Fair

This past weekend we took Harper to the county fair. We went with Haley and Porter. All I can say is thank goodness that it was a free event. The boys had fun looking at the animals, and sitting on the tractors. The Sheriff station was giving out badges. He was so proud walking around with his badge. We were able to get out of there with out spending any money so that was nice. Harp and Porter are still too young to know that we left with out getting on any carnival rides. We left and went to Barry's and got some food, and then let the boys play at the park. It was a fun a weekend with the boys. I love that Harper and Porter are getting along so well. They are going to be best buddies.

This has nothing to do with the county fair, but I have to post this picture of Harper. Every time I clean my house he becomes mommy's little helper. Dusting is his favorite thing to do during cleaning time. I love this picture so much. Now if I can only find a way to make him enjoy this forever.

Playing In The Rain & Movies

Last night when we had our first true rain storm in the month of July. Harper could not resist to go out and play in the gutter with his "rubber ducky." It was still way warm outside so I didn't mind that he was out there. Do you remember the days when life seemed so simple? It also brought such simple pleasures. Harp was so content and was having so much fun. Of course Josie had to join in on the fun too.
After all of the excitment from playing outside, Harper came in to get out of his wet clothes. He was in his nice warm jammies, and it was time for a nice relaxing movie night. On the 24th we went to Sportsman's, because Curt had a gift certificate still from Christmas. He is such a nice daddy, he let Harper use part of it and get his new chair. He was not about ready to let his Daddy and Mommy leave with out his "Chair." So after everyone was all settled in we watched the movie "Bucket List." I love that movie. So overall we had a great night of rain, movies, and relaxing.

5 years of Marriage

Wow the last five years have went by so fast! We have had a lot happen to us in the last five years. Between living in two different locations, Curt's accident, going through the temple, having our cute little Harper. I believe that we are a stronger couple, and more in love then ever. Curt is such an amazing husband and father. I truly believe that he was saved for me. I could go on forever about all of the things that I love about him. One thing is for sure that he is the most understanding, caring, funny, worthy, loving man. I can't wait to see where the next five years take us. More importantly though I am glad that we have eternity to look forward too!

St. George Trip

We just got back from a fun week in St. George. We had such a fun time hanging out by the pool in the nice sunshine. We stayed at Budget Inn which does not have the best rooms, but is great if you are taking kids. They had a kiddie pool that the whole thing is 2 feet deep. Harp thought that was great! He had himself entertained for hours. He would throw his pool toys then go run and get them. Curt had to work just a tiny bit, but he still was able to play, and go golfing. My family was down there with us the first part, then our neighbors were down the rest of the time. I love St. George I could really get use to that life. I woke up every morning went down to the pool and would read for a couple of hours, swim, eat, swim, shop, and of course end the day with an oh so lovely BUMBLE BERRY frozen custard! It was hard to come back to this yucky weather, but that is okay we really had a fun week together.
